He Finally Apologized, Now Move On

June 15th, 2009 Comments off

He finally apologized in a sincere way (mostly). I still don’t think he gets it, but he gave an unqualified apology this time and everyone just needs to move on now.

**Update**

And Sarah Palin accepts. It’s over – any attempts to get Letterman fired now just makes people look petty and childish and diminishes the point that this kind of joke involving children (14 OR 18) is over the line. Now the story will be about those evil Rethuglicans trying to get Letterman fired.

The dumbest woman in Amercia.

Did she learn nothing from Jack Nicholson’s repeated attempts to find a diplomatic solution with the Martians?

Celebrity Idiocy on Parade

Well, they are all coming out of the woodwork now. Haven’t these idiots learned anything from the last election?

I hope Cindy Sheehan brought lube to Crawford because every anti-war moonbat in this country looks to be jockeying for a chance to ride her ass.

You Go Girl

Now THIS is what it means to be a true DIVA. Someone in Hollywood finally had the balls to say it. I wonder if Tom Cruise will be stupid enough to take on Lauren Bacall – he has had no problems getting sassy with Brooke Shields but she ain’t no Lauren Bacall – sorry Brooke.

Let the circus begin

Michael Jackson has a jury.

SANTA MARIA, Calif. – Well ahead of schedule, a jury was selected Wednesday for Michael Jackson’s child molestation trial, well

“We have a jury,” Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville announced from his bench mid-morning Wednesday.

The selection happened very rapidly — though after two weeks of delays. It had been expected to last several weeks, but took only five court days. However, it was interrupted by a one-week break due to the death of an attorney’s sister and another one-week break when Jackson was hospitalized with apparent flu-like symptoms.

The panel includes four men and eight women, ranging in age from 20 to 79. Seven are white, four are Hispanic and one is Asian. Eight have children. Only five of the 12 said they were aware of 1993 child molestation allegations against Jackson; one said they or a family member personally knew Jackson.

Is there really any doubt that this trial is going to be a circus of such magnitude as to put the OJ trial to shame?

Looks like I get to have an Oscar party after all

Hollywood has taken the safe side of the road this year and completely and utterly shut-out Michael Moore and Fahrenheit 9-11.

Mel Gibson’s religious blockbuster “The Passion of the Christ” missed out on main categories, but did pick up nominations for cinematography, makeup and original score.

Michael Moore’s gamble to hold his hit film “Fahrenheit 9/11″ out of the documentary category – to boost its best-picture prospects – backfired. The movie was shut out across the board.

Not a SINGLE nomination! I am elated and a bit shocked all at the same time. It would seem Hollywood is not completely unable to recognize self-promotion of the most grotesque kind. I am disappointed that ‘Passion’ did not get more mainstream nominations – the ones it did get nominated for were obscure enough not to piss off the uber-libs but just enough to provide them enough cover with the American mainstream so they can come back later and say, “See, we like God.”

Oh you’re gonna get it now, moron

What it is about Hollywood celebrities that causes them to run headlong into a backlash. And you just know he’s gonna act the martyr when he gets the tongue-lashing he so richly deserves. Gere should stick to over-hyped musicals and speaking for himself.

I so wanted to make a small rodent related comment. Aren’t you proud of my restraint?

Shutout!

It seems that Hollywood may be taking the 100% safe way out all together. Neither Mel Gibson’s Passion of the Christ OR Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 9-11 seem to have been nominated for a Golden Globe Award.

If Moore gets a nod and Mel doesn’t, I’m starting a boycott.

There has been some talk this week of Michael Moore getting an Oscar nomination for FahrenBS 9/11. Hollywood will be Hollywood so I expect that to happen. However, Passion of the Christ and Mel Gibson had better get nominations in the same categories (Best Picture, Best Directory) Moore does or I am going to start a boycott and ask you to join me in spreading the word.

My goal would be to send a clear message with abysmal ratings that, while Hollywood may have issues with God and those that believe, the majority of the country doesn’t.

Brassguy’s parents were over last night and we were talking about this exact subject – why this idiot was still on the air specifically. It’s about time CNBC killed the show – it was REALLY bad.
