Privacy
Here’s the basic legal mumbo-jumbo about your privacy here at Casa de Lime Shurbet.
Comments and E-mails
If you register to post comments or you send me an email, then consider your email “recorded”. Unless you do one of those two things, your email address is not recorded in any way.
If you register to post comments, the email address must be a valid one. I won’t share your email address with anyone, but I will delete your registration and ban you from the site (which includes preventing you from registering a new account) if you violate the House Comment Rules.
I keep everything! I’m a pack-rat that way so if you send me an email, expect that I will probably have a copy of it until I die. Also keep in mind that if you send me an email, the content of that email just may end up being republished. Consider this fair warning that by sending me an email you are giving me permission to republish it in parts or in entirety unless you say otherwise in your message. I will not under any circumstances republish your email address without your written permission.
Cookies and Other Traffic Tools
I use Sitemeter and Google Analytics. That means stuff is being tracked about your activity on this site. There ares some unusual circumstances that might lead to disclosure of that data:
- In good faith I believe I have to because it is required by law to comply with a court order or judicial proceeding.
- In good faith I believe I have to to defend my own legal rights and interests or those of other people that have authored content on this site.
- In good faith I believe you did something illegal to try to screw up my site (i.e. hacking, DOS attacks, etc.) and the disclosure is part of that investigation.
Threats
If you send a communication of a threatening nature to me, my family, friends, associates, 1st grade teachers, or anyone I may know, care about or otherwise not feel completely indifferent to, regardless of format or medium, you can kiss your “privacy” goodbye as I reserve the right to collect, disclose, and publicize your personal information.
* I used Hot Air’s as an outline for the Privacy section of this site.
