Thanks for visiting by blog. This is just a place for me to write thoughts and commentary that hopefully someone out there will read and agree with. If you don’t agree, well, that’s cool too. If you never talk to anyone you disagree with how will you ever know when you’re wrong?

I talk about a variety of things, but mostly politics through the lens of a 39 year-old libertarian/conservative computer-geek-programmer type gay guy.

My partner and I live in the SF Bay area with our and two “kids”, Abbey and Joey. They’re Border Collies. We prefer them ’cause they’re way smarter than human children and they don’t talk back. Oh they do pout, but they do it quietly, and they are easily distracted by a snausage.

I have been a member of the Republican party since 2004. Before before that I was a registered Democrat from the age of 18.

I have voted for Al Gore and Arnold Schwarzenegger, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton (twice!) and Ann Richards too (RIP Ann). I have found that as I get older, common sense becomes harder to ignore. Which may explain why I no longer cast votes for the party of Nancy Peolsi.

We’re HUGE Sci-Fi fans in this house and derogatory comments about Battlestar Galactica will not be tolerated.

Claim to psuedo-fame? I was a small part of a big effort that made the NY Times Editorial Board very sad. (More)

Take note of how many adjectives preceded the word gay. If you read this far and are still stuck on that word, you apparently haven’t really been paying attention this whole time.

Some Basic Principles I Try to Live By (I’m not perfect)

• Stay out of my bedroom and I’ll stay out of yours.
• Janice Rogers Brown belongs on the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
• Try to take my gun(s) and I will likely die to keep you away from them.
