Apparently, not everything that happens in Vegas stays there - at least where germs are concerned - so no posting for a few days.

They’re just a little nuttier than us. Gotta love Cox & Forkum.

He wants to know why an Arab company is held to a different standard than a British one? Well, fine. Here are 19 of them. Notice the lack of Brits?
You know, I am perfectly willing to entertain the idea as long as I know the details, how the deal was reviewed, what questions were asked, what answers given, and what security measures have been put into place. But this “you tell me why this is a bad idea” crap isn’t going to fly.
No, Mr. President. YOU tell ME why this is a good idea, then we’ll talk.

(h/t Michelle Malkin)
“But on that September day we were unprepared. We did not grasp the magnitude of a threat that had been gathering over time. As we detail in our report, this was a failure of policy, management, capability, and - above all - a failure of imagination.” - 911 Commission Report, Public Statement Chair and Vice Chair
Yep, that sums up the MSM quite nicely.
Aside from the sheer audacity of a CNN anchor to criticize on this subject, I’d rather Bonnie interview Clyde than have one of the Marx brothers do it.
Cheney: “I thought that made good sense because you can get as accurate a story as possible from somebody who knows and understands hunting,” Cheney said. “Then it would immediately go up to the wires and be posted on the Web site, which is the way it went out. I thought that was the right call. I still do.”
American People: Hmmm…sounds like the way I might have handled that.
MSM: DELAY! COVERUP! EVIL! HALIBURTON!
American People: Oh shut the f**k up already.
Crackpot Lawrence O’Donnell apparently thinks so. However, as usual, he alludes to evidence but produces nothing. But it did get me thinking about Cheney’s heart condition and the various medications he must be on - specifically, is he on any medication that would prompt his doctors to advise against alcohol consumption?
Here is just a brief sample of the likely medications Cheney is on for his heart condition and what the indications are regarding alcohol:
# ACE inhibitor such as lisinopril (Zestril), or AR blocker
Use alcohol cautiously. Alcohol may increase drowsiness and dizziness while you are taking lisinopril. Alcohol may further lower blood pressure and increase drowsiness and dizziness when you are taking lisinopril.
# anti-cholesterol “statin” such as atorvastatin (Lipitor)
Alcohol and atorvastatin can both be damaging to the liver. Alcohol should be used only in moderation. Discuss the use of alcohol with your doctor so that the potential for liver problems can be determined.
# beta-blocker such as atenolol (Tenormin), metoprolol, or carvedilol (Coreg)
Use alcohol cautiously. Alcohol may increase drowsiness and dizziness while taking this medication.
# nitroglycerin prn
Avoid alcohol. It also widens blood vessels and may cause dizziness, drowsiness, and low blood pressure. It could be dangerous to combine alcohol with nitroglycerin.
These are just a few of the possible medications Cheney is on and all of them have cautions regarding alcohol. Given Cheney’s position as VP and his heart history, it is quite unlikely Cheney was drinking.
**UPDATE**
A beer at lunch - the accident happened at dusk.
Does that phrase sound familiar? Well, not if you are reading lefty blogs. But, if you were a Democrat that voted for Gore in 2000 that has since changed parties, you will likely remember uttering that to yourself the morning of September 11, 2001.
I know I said it - many many times that day, and I am certain I am not alone. I say it again today with renewed emphasis after Gore’s latest stunt. Thank God Bush won, both times.
Well, well, well. Imagine this. A duplicitous politican talking out of both sides of his bought-and-paid-for-by-lobbyists head.
I think we may have heard the last of the Democratic flogging on the “culture of corruption” meme, for awhile anyway.
