Wounded Warrior

Please take a moment to visit Wounded Warrior. This excellent organization helps soldiers veterans from Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere with extreme injuries (amputations, disfiguring scars, etc) readjust to life once they come home.

The Wounded Warrior Project was founded to give a voice to this new generation of veterans facing unique issues and problems. The Project fills the vital need for a coordinated, united effort to enable wounded veterans to aid and assist each other and to readjust to civilian life.

If you are going to make a donation to someone this Christmas, this organization is worthy of your consideration.

I don’t know if you saw those two soldiers on O’Reilly this week, talking about how the Wounded Warrior Project helped them? I had it DVR’d (not TiVo’d mind you) and played it again for Mrs. Noggin - these guys just have a fantastic outlook - makes me feel ashamed when I bitch about my job / pay / situation….

Yep - that is what inspired the post actually. These guys are really incredible. I just have to wonder what someone like Al Franken thinks about himself when he hears a story like that and has to hold himself up against such fine examples of nobility and patriotism.
